The old city was great to walk around - also the ABBA museum is well worth a visit. We only had time for those but there were numerous other activities we could have participated in if we had time. Lovely city to visit. The weather was great so we went for outdoor experiences (Skansen Open Air Museum) and taking ferries. Stockholm was a very interesting and diverse place to visit. I loved the ‘ old town’ in particular and the walking tour we did was very interesting and informative . There’s so much to do in Stockholm, so planning before hand will enable you to do as much as possible. If you’re looking for traditional Swedish food, I recommend the Hairy Pig in Gamla Stan. The ABBA museum was a fun afternoon and highly recommended; especially if you’re an ABBA fan! Good transport links make the city very accessible . If you buy your ‘travel card’ up front, it’s much cheaper to travel. We stayed in Hammarby , not too far from the main city. Our hotel , the L motel, was in a great location with good facilities nearby and a tram right outside that took us to the train station .

Stockholm is a very easy city with amazing sights and some lovely food options. Many varied neighbourhoods and something to do every day. Highly recommended as a city break. We did look for vegan eateries and found great options. My favourite bit was a long run through the woods of mainland Djurgarden. Right on the edge of the city, but felt like out in the country. You will not be disappointed.

A beautiful city, full of galleries and museums. The architecture of this comparatively small capital city is wonderful and public transport is excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and the Hotel Tapto is excellent.
