Having bought the stay on booking.com
It was from reception made very clear we were not important guests. Was told if we had booked direct from the property we would have had a better room, instead we got a very ordinary room to say the least. Reception told us they could do nothing as the booking was made via bookings.com
Having stayed at this place before to our great satisfaction, we were very disappointed and will never stay there again. I advise any person never book that place via booking.com or as us never book at that hotel.

We stayed here whilst passing through Odense. The location is fantastic. We stayed on the night of the first snow of the season, so everything looked like a fairy-tale. The rooms are basic, but clean and functional. The breakfast was nice with a good selection.

Considering the modest price, this was impressive accommodation, albeit extremely compact: comfortable beds, small but perfectly functional private bathrooms and perfect location right by the main station.

Fly into Copenhagen Airport, then take a direct train to Odense (1.5 hours). For domestic travellers, direct trains from major Danish cities are available. Alternatively, drive via E20 motorway (1.5 hours from Copenhagen). No direct water transport services.
The most convenient airport for Odense, Denmark is Copenhagen Airport. It offers numerous domestic and international flights daily. It's approximately 165km away, making it a roughly 2-hour drive.
Odense, Denmark offers efficient public transport options. The city bus service, FynBus, operates extensive routes. Alternatively, Odense's bicycle-sharing scheme, Bycyklen, is popular. Odense is really clean, super charming and bicycle friendly.
Odense is really clean, super charming and bicycle friendly. Seems like every city corner is well taken care of. Modern buildings are very cool, too. H C Andersen's museum and the park being part of the whole composition is quite awesome! We spent two days walking around Odense, so I’d like to come back and explore what Fyn (the island) has to offer.

We were there for New Year and visited a restaurant called Værdsat. The 9 course menu, wines and semi-informal service were great.
We live just outside Odense and just needed a room to stay for the night due to Odense having atrocious public transport outside the city's postal codes and there being a "five wines" menu with the meal 8D.
Odense is a lovely town with lots of history, some of which is being (IMHO) vandalised by modern architecture, which some people will love. But it is a fairly sleepy town with only the HC Andersen attractions being of real note to outside visitors. But there is enough to do here for a weekend. Come in the summer though, as it can be a bit grey and grim in the cold season.
Parking can be a problem and overpriced shop leases (not enough competition and too much real estate in the hands of too few people who know each other) mean that the selection of shops is a bit limited with more empty leaseholds than I like to see.

Good location and parking was easy to find and beside the hotel. We could pay and organize the parking at reception (who were very helpful).

The location was wonderful.
The location was wonderful. In my first series of comments regarding our hotel, I forgot to mention that there is no television in the rooms. For me, that was not a problem, but it might be for others.
Odense is a charming town with a very walkable downtown and easy parking.

As the native home to Hans Christian Andersen, the city is built strongly around him. But not exclusively, with other attractions including the downtown Sankt Cnud Church and the many surrounding parks. The entire neighborhood around Andersen's birthplace has been preserved in the 19th century Danish style. I found the cuisine was top-notch at Grønttorvet and Marcantonio

I came for the Han Christian Andersen museums but Odense is charming on its own. Very walkable, safe, clean and friendly. The HCA museum far exceeded my expectations; indescribably incredible. I appreciate Odense even more after visiting Copenhagen next. I didn’t research or do well with restaurants. I’m so glad I ended the stay with a visit to Egeskov Castle.
Nice hotel in an old beautiful building with some aristhocratic ambiance. The interior is very beautiful like the stairs and the restaurant. It is located in the city center 2 minutes walking to the main pedestrian street of shopping. 10 minutes walk to the train station and close to Hans Christian Andersen attractions. There are many restaurants in the area close to the hotel and in the same street. The room was good, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast in the magnificent restaurant was very good. Nice staff. Good wifi.
The hotel changed our room after we complained that the original room smelled like mildew. We liked the afternoon treat of cake and snacks. Good breakfast. Didn't notice other guests' reviews that the breakfast food 'runs out' after a certain time. Liked the location - close to train station, the food court and pool (on other side of train tracks) and town center. Kids liked the old style elevator. Umbrellas offered to guests as well as luggage storage.
The breakfast was amazing. Great selection. Quality food and coffee selections. Plenty of seating. It felt spacious and comfortable. The location was ideal. There is a tram stop literally on one side of the hotel. It couldn't be any closer! Also within 1,000 ft of the train station, so it was easy to get to on foot. Also, there was a grocery within 400 ft. and a quick and easy walk to shops and restaurants., and the H.C. Anderson Museum.
Perfect location for people traveling with car. Nice-cosy small one-room apartment with kitchenette. Everything you need for 2-3 days stay for couples, or just overnight on turisttrip on Danish island Fun.
There is a great walk near the hotel - you can go for a long walk along the Odense Canal and you can see the only one in Denmark a double swing bridge with a total span of almost 200 meters - it revolves around its own axis.
Good sized, clean room. Great breakfast with good variety of choices. Huge parking lot.
For dog owners: you can have your breakfast at the seating area outside the restaurant, there's a little area with grass and bushes outside the hotel for potty breaks and the staff is pretty pet friendly.

The hotel is well located- a short 5-7 min walk from the train station and easy to find. While the outside is unexceptional, the rooms are very comfortable (small) excellent bedding and bed , good water pressure. The staff are all friendly and helpful. They also have nice bikes for rent. All is immaculate. Nice lounge as well.
Room was comfortable with good facilities. Breakfast was excellent. Delicious food in the restaurant in the evening. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good parking at the hotel. Convenient bus to the centre of town and back. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and enjoyed Odense particularly the HC Anderson museum.
We like that it has a lift so we do not need to lug our heavy luggage around, and a bathtub to relax in. Breakfast was quite a spread for a small hotel restaurant they have. The hotel is also very close to the main museum, about 5 minutes walk away, and not too far from the train station. Staff were friendly.
The B&B provides a high level of privacy and quiet, while allowing a relative near access to downtown Odense and its train station. While the bathroom and kitchen are shared in the main building, the facilities are kept in a clean state at all times. Check-in was automated and very efficient.
Great and friendly staff, which made our stay very welcoming and comfortable. Hotel is also centrally located at the city centre which has a good connection with tram/metro. At the hotel is enough parking space.
Nice B&B in the center of Odense within walking distance of the HC Andersen sights. The rooms and shared bathrooms were clean and comfortable. The building is set back from the main street so it was quiet.
Very convenient location: close to the train station and the city. The room was spacious for a three star place. Breakfast was included and there was something for everyone.
We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. You can park your car and enjoy a nice walk to the city center. The rooms had a balcony and furnishings were very cosy.
