The rooms were spotlessly clean, very comfortable beds with effective aircon, good fans. The bathroom was basic and hot water. The hosts hosts were very welcoming. We very much enjoyed the free breakfast there and it was really tasty.
And Wi-Fi worked well. Staff were so friendly and kind.
Centrally located near green restaurant and Thai German restaurant, a minute to street foods and 10 minutes to walking street in town. We reserved some daily tours and rent motorbikes there with very good quality.
Overall, it is a good hotel in Vang Vieng, and we highly recommend.

Lovely adventure spot nestled among beautiful karst mountains, sinkhole swiming spots and limestone caves. The town itself is nothing remarkable but does have a lot of young traveler energy, which is fun.

The landscape and settings are great.
The landscape and settings are great. You can get there with the new fast train. The Chinese built the train stations and they all are far away from town, not sure why. Vang Vieng is very popular with fun sports very young people including lots of Brits and Aussies. Not the best food I had, try out GOAT for Vietnamese.

It has a good night street food central to many hostels.
It has a good night street food central to many hostels. Nature, including the river and mountains, they are great. Moreover the tours you must be careful about which ones you pick the prices are generally similar but many of them are different they use different areas for particular activities like zip lining or the blue pool they are actually like five Blue pools don't go to number one because it's very small and it has a ton of people that is quote the cheapest pool to go to. So ask to see pictures of their different things because as you can see there are different company names like wonderful or Jackie or seven or whatever there are tons of them and they have their own teams and they run their own thing some are better than others and I went to one from seven and it was okay well isn't the greatest experience but it was okay.

This is a popular destination for backpackers and young people. There is no shortage of bars, restaurants, and food carts. There are many types of recreational activities and tour operators but it’s easy to reach hiking trails and lagoons on your own. Phangeun - Silver Cliff - was worth the hike!

We stayed there for about one week and tried also two hotels in this time.
Vang Vieng is very beautil und it takes a while to discover the different beautiful places here. Best option is to rent a motorcycle. And for some view points you have to be an well physical condition to reach them.
In Vang Vieng we tried a lot of restaurants and different food and just one restaurant was very disappointing for my Lao wife and me...
We liked the Namphet Restaurant.. its a bit hidden behin a bridge.. but you will have a beautival view to the river and very good food..
what we didnt like was the behaviour of this crowds of chinese tourists.. they behave like laos is disneyworld

General a nice town with lots of restaurants, bars and a really nice nature around. BUT: totally overrun by tourists, especially Chinese. Cycling to the hills outside town will result in lots of traffic due to hundreds of stinky, rectles buggys and vans shutteling tourists from lagoon to lagoon. The lagoons are overfilled with people, the river with kayaks.
Once you arrived a Hill to climb or a cave to explore, it gets much quieter.
All in all: Beautiful nature around town once you reach it, but be ready to deal with mass tourism.
Following a motorbike accident I had to extend my stay and stay solo in Vang Vieng for 2 weeks to recover. The staff made the stay here, it appears to be a family run hotel. Lovely, friendly and welcoming staff. Assisted to source reliable transport to and from hospital appointments and to airport. I felt safe here alone when recovering from an accident and was able to rest and recover before continuing my trip. Bed was comfy, rooms cleaned and bed made daily. Free breakfast every morning, laundry service- quick, fresh and cheap!
Premier Vang Vieng is a superb choice to stay in Vang Vieng. It is on the main road, but on the quieter end of town. There are dozens of restaurants to choose from nearby and a 10 min walk to the night market. The swimming pool is lovely and the breakfast was great. The rooms were large and comfortable and had a kettle, which is much appreciated. However, the best thing about the hotel is the staff. They were incredibly helpful in organising a tour for us, as well as train tickets to Luang Prabang. Thank you so much!
That was the second visit Vang Vieng in a week, we still chose this hotel for our stay. The first time was great and the second time seemed to be perfect. They welcomed us as a member of family, very cozy place. Staff made all the best for us to enjoy and save our time there. They reserved minivan tickets to Vientiane for us the next morning, very fast, only 2.5hrs from hotel to Vientiane city center.
Visit Vang Vieng, come to see you again
Thank you Alex and your staff
A great option in Vang Vieng for us. Cheap, well located and a convenient breakfast in the morning. The staff were amazingly helpful with trips etc and gave us free water liberally at any occasion. They don’t take payment cards but were more than happy to moped me to their sister hotel to make payments for tours which was very helpful. Lovely lovely people. The room was basic and inline with what we paid. Brilliant value in a central location. Nothing to complain about
On first impressions the manager was wonderful and very welcoming; he showed us our room in no time at all and explained how to use the facilities. The location was perfect for us, very central in the tourist hub of Vang Vieng with almost all major activities close by and the most popular restaurants and bars also a stone throw away! Oh and the sandwich’s from Big Mama are right out the front door… they’re the best in Laos!
You no need to looking anymore, this is the best choice for you in Vang Vieng. Super clean, safe. Staff are on top ,very helpful. Location is also very convenient. Nice swimming pool. Lots of sunbathing space. Free alcohol every night, very social, I met a lot of nice people. and it's not a hostel that parties all day, when it needs quiet it has it and can sleep very well.
Vang Vieng Trendy is just new renovated really nice stay the man at reception Ben he Vietnamese was super friendly and knowledge gave us many tips to travel at Laos. We book Full day tour and bus ticket with hotel the price 380,000kip and 150,000kip. Got an amazing experience at Vang Vieng Garden Resort in Vang Vieng, Laos.
The view was amazing. The staff was realyyy Nice also. Everything was super clean. And miss Spring is the best!!!! If you go to Vang Vieng, go to Garden! It is not far From the centre, so you can enjoy the nightlife!! And the beautifull lagoons
Staff team is super nice and go beyond to help you arrange your tours in Vang Vieng. They're very genuine and would always have your best interests at heart to recommend you tours to do. Location of hostel is great . Dorms are pretty standard (you get what you pay for). Towels are avail for rent.
Best Hostel in Vang Vieng!”
Very new hotel but already so amazing. Great facilities: beds, lots of toilets and showers, pool, clothes line and (our favourite) realllyyy nice pool table.Amazing breakfast and really nice owners who welcome feedback and are always around when you need them :)
best party hostel in vang vieng. easy to socialize. they have happy hour every day free whisky and vodka. they did also have a birthday party of the manager with food and drinks for everyone in the hostel. helpful staff and easy to book activities and transport tickets.
Overall, VangVieng Chanthala Hotel provides a comfortable and welcoming base for exploring the natural beauty and cultural richness of Vang Vieng. Whether you're seeking adventure or relaxation, this hotel offers everything you need for a memorable stay in Laos.
Good hostel with nice staff and seems to be the best in Vang Vieng. Free whiskey and vodka for 7-9 every night. Nice pool, small gym and comfortable beds. Rooms aren’t amazing, the AC is strong and kept on for a good time and the beds are comfortable.
Everyone was so friendly and helpful! The hotel have the best location and there is a train very close by that can get you most places. The people we met were so accommodating and made us feel very welcome on our first trip to Vang Vieng!
The best place in all of Laos, the most worth the price. Central location and quiet rooms. WiFi is excellent. Varied and excellent breakfast. And above all the amazing and helpful staff. I would recommend this place to everyone,
The lady manager was very friendly and helpful. Just state your withes clear and maybe plan a bit ahead. The breakfast was fine (not great but you are in a cheap place in Laos).
