The restaurant was very busy so I made a reservation for later in the evening. After getting my table and a drink I had to wait for a very long time to place the order. Long enough for the staff to apologize and they offered the food for free!

Beautiful and compact size city. Not too crowded yet.
Beautiful and compact size city. Not too crowded yet. Easy travel from/to Arlanda airport. Bus(801) is cheaper than train. Short distances almost everywhere in the city. Rentable E-bikes and E-scooters available. English language is widely in use. My experiences are from summertime only. I`ll definately come back again.

Uppsala is one of Sweden's oldest cities and well worth a visit. I had not been for 30 years and was so pleasantly surprised how much there was to do both within the city and just outside the city. It's very walkable and very safe. I loved my visit to the University Library to see the Silver Bible "Codex Argenteus". I also love churches and the Cathedral the biggest in Scandinavia did not disappoint. Gustav Vasa the founder of Modern Sweden is buried here. The botanical garden I am sure is wonderful later in the year when it's all blooming. I ate at the cafe near the gardens called Cafe Victoria and it was excellent. There are lots of eateries and "watering holes" but be mindful alcohol sold in bars and restaurants are very pricey. Use the Systembolaget and get a bottle and have a picnic in the park. Uppsala is a university city so very lively and has easy access to Stockholm should you wish.

The fourth largest city in Sweden.
The fourth largest city in Sweden. A university city that can be compared to Cambridge in the UK. Famous for its cathedral and university campus. Also hosts a very good choice of bars and restaurants. Located 55mins from Stockholm City and only a short train ride from Arlanda Airport.

City I love to visit, very easy for tourists, good shopping and restaurants. Public transport is great, or you can hire a bicycle and get round like the locals.
Clean and safe, lots of history, old city, cathedral and castle. Was once the capital of Sweden.
Very close to nature, easy to get to the old Viking mounds.
Down side, it's expensive,

I actually live here so I only have good things to say about it. The city is big but not too big. Not crowded. Clean. It is beautiful with a lot of historical sites to visit. It is also very interpenetration and it's extremely easy to get around with just english. Public transportation is top notch, but if you have the opportunity to bike instead, do it.
This hotel is very nice. It is located not far from the center, near the park and one of the main sight- the cathedral. The hotel is in an old building, but inside everything is quite modern. There are some numbers in honor of famous people in Sweden. My was named by Sweden poetess Karin Boye. The rooms themselves are restrained, concise, but with a pleasant atmosphere. Good breakfast, wonderful back yard with tables overlooking the cathedral.
This is a simple, clean, comfortable hotel in the far outskirts of Uppsala, where you'll find IKEA and a few other large sports shops etc. I stayed here because it was close to the wedding venue I was going to. I would rather have stayed in town.
Showers and loos in the hallway, also clean and fresh.
If you're looking for an easy, quick stay, this is fair. Buses nearby into town.
Excellent location in the heart of Uppsala. We were traveling with two little children and the staff went above and beyond to get us into our room several hours early. The room was simple but very clean and comfortable. We would stay here again. They also allowed us to come to breakfast early the morning we checked out because we had an early flight to catch. Excellent experience!
Cheap and ok for one night to sleep in Uppsala. Easy to check in and out as there is no staff, although that means that you rely on the hotel sending you an email with the codes to the door which I received quite late in the afternoon of my arrival so if you arrive at the advertised check in time, you might not have access to the room for some more time.
The great option to stay in Uppsala. We prefer to stay in an apartment and this one was great. The host is very nice and helpful. The apartment has everything for a several-day stay. The kitchen is well-equipped. The bed is comfortable. A couple of grocery stores are nearby. We recommend it for your visit to Uppsala. We enjoyed our stay.
Great value hotel. Breakfast was good with a lot of options and they even have some gluten free options. There's a nice common room and even a small kitchen with a fridge (and small freezer) and the ability to boil water. Location couldn't be more perfect. It's a short walk from the train station and the heart of Uppsala.
Excellent, from the first moment when checking in. Very pleasant members of staff at reception, dinning room, welcoming smile of Consierge at the doors. THis is to me FIRST CLASS hotel and certainly would visit again once in Uppsala.
Room nicely decorated, lounge, corridors.....you are stepping back to Victorian times.
The main reason we picked this property is its location, which is perfect for being very close to my family. The place is clean and has a nice bathroom and the possibility for storage. There is also easy access to public transport into the city centre and the rest of Uppsala from there.
Great location short drive to gammel uppsala. Very comfortable clean rooms. Handy parking on site. We did get a parking ticket but when I spoke to the receptionist she was very helpfully and sorted it all out for us so we didnt have to pay the fine. Very good hotel will stay again!
Affordable accommodation close to the city centre. The hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff at the breakfast were extremely helpful. They went out of their way to provide me with enough vegan options. So, thank you everyone 😊
Brand new comfortable hotel with large rooms. Very proffesional and friendly staff. Nice parking, delicious breakfast and a few minutes drive to Gamla Uppsala. We would definitely stay here again.
I have been to Sweden several times, it was the best among the hotels and Apartments I have ever stayed in. clean rooms and bed. The kitchen was very good in the bathroom and everything. thanks!
