I most liked the mountains. We always eat at CommuniTea.
I most liked the mountains. We always eat at CommuniTea. All tourist towns should have free parking. Since Canmore took away most of the free parking and turned it into paid we do not visit anywhere near the amount we use to. Canmore was our 'go to' instead of Banff. (Horrible parking there) We also live in a tourist town and our parking is free. the tourists are way less aggressive with their driving. Also having to use a electronic device on a machine to park is nasty. Very invasive

Beautiful area with lots of options for outdoor adventurers and foodies alike. Cute little downtown with lots of shops and places to eat. Nice little bubble tea spot, and enjoyed eating at a place called Iron Goat. I like that it is quieter and less touristy than Banff (just a 15-ish minute drive away). My friend loved hiking Ha Ling a year earlier, and we loved East End of Rundle this year.
Grassi Lakes is an easy and beautiful hike too.
Climbing spots like Grotto Canyon are cool, there's even a climb around some pictographs which is really neat.
A friend got married in late April at Silvertip Resort in Canmore, it was a beautiful set up with mountains in the background for the ceremony, and a cute rustic cabin-y feel for the reception inside.
Would recommend Canmore to anyone. :)

Canmore has everything one needs for enjoyment and necessities. It is close to both Banff and Kananaskis Country for skiing, shopping, biking, hiking, lots of dining options, historical sites…and more. There is something for everyone! If you like being independent, opportunities for self-guided activities abound. If you want guided tours, there is everything from dog sledding to heli-tours, rafting to mountain biking…hiking to yoga. It’s the best value for the money spent! And the scenery is unbeatable.

So much to do and see with Canmore being your base.
So much to do and see with Canmore being your base. It’s an easy quick trip to Banff without the hoards of tourists that are in Banff. Canmore has a cosy downtown with lots of activities in the surrounding area. It’s a great area to stay in!
Visited Grizzly Paw Brewing Company, Murriettas and Bridgette. All had great service!
Stayed in private owner suite at Solara. Young child friendly pool and huge hot tub area. Has a small restaurant and a liquor store.
Twilight Soak at Nordic Spa in Kananaskis area was fun and relaxing!

Canmore is a great little town right in the heart of the rockies. It is very close to Banff, without the cost of staying right in Banff. It is close to many outdoor activities for both summer and winter. Both Lake Louise and Sunshine Village ski resorts are within an hour. There are lots of hiking opportunities with some even starting in town. We have enjoyed many of the local restaurants, and there is a lot of variety to please any palate. While it can sometimes get busy, it is easy to get around and easily walkable for most people.
The hotel is located in such a nice scenic town of Canmore. Bathroom was spotlessly clean. Love the soap/shampoo dispensers. The full kitchen was awesome! We have all the cookware, dinnerware and utensils needed to make a full steak dinner! Room was spacious and fit 4 people well. I also love that they have laundry machines with tide pods available for guests. There is one spot of free parking for each unit. Checking was done all contactless via a code sent through email. Wi-Fi was great. The hot tub at the roof was a good bonus.
2nd stop of our road trip from Calgary to Vancouver, we spent 1 night at The Georgetown Inn.
What we liked:
+ Great base for exploring Canmore and its surroundings (Bow River Loop, Grassi Lakes, Policeman's Creek Boardwalk, and many more)
+ Very comfortable bedding
+ Superb room, extremely spacious and well-organized
+ Helpful receptionist who advised us on local trails and kindly provided a bear spray
+ Pleasant pub within the hotel with decent food
+ Excellent value for money
The hotel was located beatifully and was an amazing value for money comparing it to other hotels in Canmore. Appartment was very spacious, offered a nice view, and the kitchen had everything you need and more. The gym and pool were nice for the evening and you can make free use of the 6 barbecues located outside. The staff was superb, were very nice and helpful and they let you rent bear spray for free during your stay. Highly recommend.
Room was very clean and had a nice, modern washroom. The staff were very friendly and the pool and hot tub were quite comfortable, with a nice view of the mountains. The hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes drive away from the downtown core of Canmore, which is nice, and the fact that it is near the railway tracks is no problem at all, the walls are as if soundproof!
We were in the other building across from the main hotel. I don't know if we were allowed to use the pool, or amenities at the main hotel because it was never mentioned, but we also didn't ask. There is a restaurant at the main hotel, but we walked to downtown and checked out a local place. This place was perfect for a stop over. I would stay here again and I loved Canmore!
There is no bad room here as they all beautiful views! Very friendly staff and always so helpful! This is our second time staying here and we loved the vibes of the hotel. It’s very clean and easy check in!! Breakfast was amazing! We didn’t realize there was a brunch, decided to stay and enjoy it! Glad we did as everything was amazing!
It was nice to have multiple balconies and 2 floors of space to utilize especially with a group of 10 people. If you are planning a family reunion I would say this is a perfect spot for it. Great proximity to Banff or Lake Louise for day trips and plenty to see by the hotel as its right downtown Canmore.
The room was a great size. The facilities where great. I loved having a washer dryer in suite.
Bed was comfy and the separate shower and bathtub was a treat.
The restaurant attached to the hotel is great!
Locations good, not far from canmore Town.
Very simple but convenient setup; great location (except the trains at night, but hard to avoid that in Canmore!) it was a breeze to check in and having a pet friendly room was great. LOVED the coffee press instead of a drop machine!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Liked the rooms, beds, kitchen, pool, overall clean hotel and rooms and very nice staff, especially Zach who was very helpful. Everything was as advertised and just twenty mixtures to Banff and walking distance to downtown Canmore.
A lovely hotel, quaint layout, has a very "Rockies" feel to it and the decor to match. Situated in the west end of Canmore, it has easy access to and from the freeway although you couldn't hear the freeway traffic at all.
I really enjoyed how clean the rooms were and the hotel in general. Everything looked amazing! If I come back to Canmore, I will be using this hotel again. It was affordable and worth the price we paid for it.
The hotel was very clean! The beds were comfortable and the room was very large. The location was great. Very close to Canmore and 15 minutes from Banff downtown. The staff are nice and welcoming!
My husband and I loved this hotel! Modern, clean, comfortable rooms; breakfast was included in price. Self-check in is very convenient. Will 100% come back whenever we are staying in Canmore ❤️
I was blown away with this place ! The price was so reasonable especially for the location and the hotel room was huge ! I’ll be booking here anytime i come to Canmore from now on
