    Love watching the beautiful tower.

Love watching the beautiful tower. The Christmas market was really nice and there are plenty of food and drink options. What surprised me was that this is a main tourist area yet none of the signs were in anything but German. We didn’t order food or drink because we didn’t know what it was. The same with maps for the area. It’s hard to navigate.

    Really enjoy Marienplatz.

Really enjoy Marienplatz. Would recommend taking the lift up the Bell Tower to get a view of the city centre. Right opposite the City Hall they also have a huge bakery - recommend getting the giant pretzel. Also if you walk away from Marienplatz with the City Hall on your right, there is also a lovely souvenir shop with authentic wooden cuckoo clocks and Christmas decorations inside. Little gem. And don't forget to visit the very expensive chocolate shop called Ladarach - worth every penny. Recommend the blueberry and raspberry chocolate tray x

Legendary spot in Munich and a must when visiting.

Legendary spot in Munich and a must when visiting. We had an unfortunate experience at the first restaurant we chose with an extremely rude waitress but we soon forgot about it when we moved on to the next restaurant, where we were well looked after. The walking tours in Munich start here and I would advise anyone who wants to get a taste of this fabulous city, especially if on a short stay, to book a tour.

One of the only original bits of the city.

One of the only original bits of the city. Chillingly the Town Hall and Cathedral were left standing to guide the bombers to other targets. How many beautiful building would have been left if it were not for the war ... what a waste. Much of the city has been reconstructed including some of Marienplatz which is the heart of the city and where many tours start.

Many web guides said that clockpiel show at 11 - 12 and 17 hours. Not always works for 17 hours. There is an announcement at entrance on new building declaring schedule for show. So you can organice your visit. Try to be behind the monument of virgen So nobody block your view. Are only 8 minutes to enjoy. If you has opportunity to visit Munich in december you will enjoy the christmas markets too.

The musical workings of the main tower clock were a feature for the Marienplatz. Patisserie in the square " RISCHART " had the best selection of cakes and pastries, their Tiramisu was in my opinion better than we have had in Italy. Huge servings for 3 Euros and great coffee. Well worth a visit.

Close to the main train station, near a supermarket, very quiet at night, no street traffic noise, free tea and coffee machine in the lobby, could walk to Marienplatz and most of Munich's attractions from hotel.

The hotel was perfectly located in central Munich, a stone s throw from Marienplatz and the Siedlinger Tor U-bahn. Also the bar wasnice staff and a good DJ. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a good selection of vegetarian and vegan options.

Easy to get to on public transport from Munich International airport. Hotel is on a back street in the old town which means it’s away from the crowds. The rooms were perfect and clean and really comfortable. The location was ideal and you could get around walking the hotel is literally 5 mins from Marienplatz. There are many restaurants close by and bars and if you want to access public transpiration it’s easy to get to this from the hotel. Receptionist/staff were very friendly, helpful and approachable.

I was staying in Munich for just a couple of days and as a single traveler, I never felt unsafe. The location of the hotel is close enough to all the sites (Glockenspiel/Marienplatz, Viktualienmarkt, Hofbrauhaus) but quiet enough to have the windows open when sleeping. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were extremely nice and helpful. Highly recommend.

My little attic room was very comfy and cozy. The location of the hotel can't be beaten, it's literally 5 minutes walk from the heart of Munich (Viktualienmarkt, Marienplatz). The restaurant where the breakfast was served had a lovely, traditional feel. The buffet was delicious with hot and cold dishes and included the option to have eggs/omelettes made to order. A special shout out to the extremely friendly and attentive waiter who was always on breakfast duty - unfortunately I did not get his name.

This is a no-frills, but very cozy and clean hotel in a strategic position in the center of Munich. The room is basic, but there is everything you need for a stay. The decor and the (old) furniture of the common spaces and the rooms is "cute" and gives a feeling of coziness. Every member of the staff with whom I talked was really friendly and welcoming. The location is excellent, only 5-10 minutes to Marienplatz by S-bahn (500mt).
